Why us for your Siberian kitten?

We put the "CUTE" in kittens!

At Kristails Siberians, we pride ourselves on being a small, home-based cattery with a limited number of litters per year.  This allows us to focus on hand-raising and spoiling our kittens with an abundance of love, attention, and human contact in a caring environment.  To ensure premium quality hypoallergenic kittens, we are meticulous in choosing our breeders.  We consider their heritage to insure there are very little issues in past generations, type, health, and temperament.  Our lines can be traced to some of the most prestigious catteries of pure, traditional Siberians in Russia.  Their long and impressive history stretches back over 1000 years in their native land.

Fall in love TODAY, and take home a kitten TOMORROW.

We specialize in the silver palette in both the classic and mackerel patterns.  Our breeders do not carry the color point gene.

As a safety measure to protect the health and minimize stress for our cats and kittens, we operate as a closed cattery.  Our females are not sent to other catteries for breeding, we do not offer stud service, and are closed to visitation.  This makes the ideal recipe for superb kittens.

After viewing our adorable kittens, you'll understand why people choose Kristails Siberians.  Kittens get adopted QUICKLY!  So, act FAST and call NOW!

Additional photos of each kitten posted above are available upon request. We may have a few other kittens available, so please inquire to see if we have one that's a match for you and your family. We typically refrain from posting photos of newborn kittens for selection purposes.  Instead, we wait until the are close to adoption age.  This approach allows you to better assess their looks and personalities.  For further details on pricing, the adoption process, sales condition, health, guarantee, and what steps to take next, scroll on down the page.

What are the terms of purchase?

Our kittens are sold as pets and come with a spay/neuter agreement.  We highly recommend that this procedure be done between 10 to 12 months of age; after they have completed most of their growth.  By purchasing a kitten from us, you agree to care for it for the rest of its' life, understanding that there will be expenses involved.  We do NOT sell any kittens for breeding purposes or with breeding rights, under any circumstances.

Our priority is to place our kittens locally or regionally.  We do not air ship kittens.  While we provide an approximate pick-up date, please note this date may change due to circumstances beyond our control.  We believe perfection requires patience, and we will release the kitten only when it is ready for its new home.  Transfer arrangements will be made at the appropriate time at a convenient and secure location, near our premises, during daylight hours, for everyone's safety.  No cat or kitten will leave our possession without being in an approved pet carrier.  Please ensure you have a clean, and suitable carrier with you when picking up your kitten.

This is a "forever" cat, and not an "until" cat; until something else comes along in your life. If you cant promise to love and care for your pet "forever", then our kitten is NOT for you.

What is the price of a kitten?

The price of a kitten can vary based on color, fur quality and breeding conformity.  Each kitten's price is shown on its' photo.  The quoted price is for the kitten only.  The purchaser is responsible for additional items or fees, i.e. - transportation, carrier, or courier service, health certificates for travel, etc., should they arise.

We do not insist on a deposit upfront unless the purchaser is certain about a specific kitten, or requires one for a particular time.  If that is the case, we then do ask for a $400.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT.  The deposit amount will be deducted from the total price at the time of sale.  Most kittens range between $1200.00 and $1500.00.  Kittens are sold on a first-come, first-served basis to suitable homes.  We reserve the right to refuse a sale should we feel placement is not in the best interest of the kitten.  The balance of the kitten MUST BE PAID IN FULL prior to the sale and release of the kitten.

What is the adoption process?

A few easy steps!  You look, choose, contact us, we converse over the phone to get a feel for your needs and desires.  This helps us to match you and your family up with the right kitten.  We can text you photos with descriptions of recommended items needed to be purchased before your kitten comes home.  When your kitten is ready for release, we will arrange a meeting and provide you with a written contract, written health guarantee and health booklet.  The booklet will include a receipt of its' health check and age-appropriate vaccines from our veterinarian.  At that time, we will need the balance of the purchase, and them you are free to take your new, adorable kitten home!

Simplicity!  We keep it as simple as possible.  Purchasing a Siberian kitten from us is done safely, securely and with ease.  We do not do lengthy inquiry forms or applications that can get intercepted over the internet.  A short one will do.  To put your mind at rest regarding scams, We do not insist on a deposit up front, unless you really want a specific kitten, or one for a particular time.

Health

Health.  It is our top priority and we take every precaution to minimize exposure to infectious pathogens.  Despite our best efforts, viruses can spread easily, even with stringent precautions in place.  Viruses can survive on various surfaces such as bags, shoes, and other items brought into the house.  Even insects like flies, moths and ants can carry bacteria or parasites.  To combat this, we regularly clean and sanitize all living areas, and de-worm all our cats and kittens routinely.

Vaccinations.  This is another crucial aspect of our health protocol.  While some breeders administer vaccinations themselves, we prefer to have our kittens examined, health checked, and age-appropriately vaccinated according to the standards and guidelines set forth by The American Association of Feline Practitioners, and performed by a licensed veterinarian before they are released.  All procedures and vaccines given will be noted in the health booklet.

Guarantee.  All our kittens leave us with a comprehensive one-year written health guarantee starting from the date of purchase.  Our cattery is free of FeLV/FIV and ringworm.  We have great confidence in the health of our cats, so much so, that when we retire one of our Siberian breeders, they also come with a full one-year guarantee.  In rare cases, when we have a "special needs" kitten or cat, they will still be covered by either a whole or partial one-year health guarantee.

Shipping

How to get your kitten home

We've got you covered! Getting your kitten home should not be a problem. While we no longer "air ship" kittens, there is a reliable alternative—ground transportation services. This has become a fast-growing industry, offering a safe and efficient way to transport pets.

Citizenshipper.com is a trusted registry of professional pet transporters. To be listed with this organization, transporters must meet strict standards and follow specific guidelines. They are required to:

  • Complete training in animal handling, pet emergencies, and first aid

  • Be licensed and certified with the USDA and APHIS as official animal shippers

  • Ensure their transport vehicles are equipped with proper heating and air conditioning

  • Maintain insurance and meet all safety requirements

  •

During travel, transporters make regular stops for bathroom breaks, walking (if needed), feeding, and watering. If the trip requires an overnight stay, pets are brought into a hotel for their comfort and safety. Most transporters will take photos of your kitten at pickup, during the journey, and at the final destination, which are then sent to you so you can rest assured your pet is safe and well cared for throughout the trip. Photos at delivery are also sent to the originator for confirmation.

This particular company also has a special insurance for their transporters called “Pet Transportation Protection Plan”, which will reimburse the transporter and/or the customer should certain mishaps happen along the way. With these safeguards in place, you can feel confident your kitten will be transported safely and comfortably to their new home. We have used a few of these services in the past, and were quite pleased and satisfied.
